Optimizing and Engineering GVA is specialized in shaping and engineering logistical bins and. Besides the core application areas in the steel, copper, aluminum and nickel plants we also service all other non ferrous smelters with our specific GVA products and developments. The GVA product development process, starting from the analysis of the demand itself, evaluating the design, screening the manufacturing process, up to securing the quality, creates the competitive advantage for our customers. On the one hand we maintain an intense relationship to the manufacturers of mobile equipment to reach a symbiosis of functionality, cost-control and extended lifetime. Together we also focus on the further development and security aspects of the adoption points. On the other hand CAD supported simulations were used the first time in the year 1992 to calculate asymmetric designed slag and metal ladles. This new process assists to engineer and construct slagpots with an evenly balanced center of gravity and supports all involved parties to easier synchronize the connecting measurements. Computer-aided calculations of finite elements and the solidification process lead to further conclusions in the respect of design, engineering and production of the casting. These new technologies confirm GVA’s design philosophy of thin walls, smooth transitions and homogeneous shapes. Achievements and results from the simulation process are continuously reviewed and so the GVA design enhanced and constantly improved. Also other areas within our foundry product segment benefit from this development, by adding value in securing the high quality standard of our product portfolio. All GVA products are already evaluated during the project / inquiry phase and a feasibility study concludes if a faultless production and quality assurance is possible.
